Catch-Up and all of the sadness involved

It has been a long time since I have posted to the blog. Just over 7 months. I wish it had been for other reasons, but it has been for 1 main reason. I have been dreading writing a post about Anna. When I last posted, we were pregnant with our 3rd child. On Tuesday April 21st, Tarra went to the hospital to get a stress test on the baby. At that time we were told that there was no longer a heartbeat and our baby had passed away. The next day, Tarra had Anna Grace Kabler delivered by C-section. She was 7 pounds, 10 ounces and looked the same size as my other 2 children when she was delivered. That was the most horrible moment of my life. I broke down crying the delivery room, it took me a couple of hours not start crying at a whim.

After Anna was delivered, the staff of Scottsdale Healthcare was fantastic. We had a grief counselor named Susan who is one of the greatest people I have ever met. I could not imagine doing her job for a week.

We later had a very small service for Anna at Cross of Christ. The service was beautiful. I wish I could say it got me to go back to church on a regular basis, but I haven't. Sometimes things like this shake your faith in everything and it takes a while to get over.

Fast forward 6 months later and everything is starting to return to normal. Tommy is now in Kindergarten and doing fantastic at it. Lily has been growing up so much in the past couple of months, it is amazing.

Tarra and I have been doing well. Times like these help you realize how strong your marriage is and how important it is to have open communication with your spouse. I posted a couple of pics of the kids, so of the stuff that has happened over the past 6 months. I didn't go into details as what I have already written was enough for now.

The family visits

My cousin and his family came out to visit last month.  It was so much fun.  The daughter Taylor and Tommy were like peas in a pod.  Everytime they come out to Arizona it reminds us how much we wish they lived in town.

As for a family update, Tarra is progressing nicely, the baby is due in 9 weeks, which is coming fast.  Tommy is officialy signed up for Kindergarten, he will be going to Anthem elementary next year.  And Lily is starting to talk so much it is amazing.

Time flys

Every time I look at this blog, I realize it has been about a month longer then it should be since I last posted.

Christmas has come and gone, which is too bad.  I love Christmas and that time of year, mostly because the work closes for a week and I get to hang out with the family.

The big news now is Jeff is moving into his own place next month.  He found a place in Phoenix (actually on the border of Snottsdale), but it is a nice place and he should enjoy a house without kids for awhile.
